Install and connect
- 1Buy a plan with your TVPN balance.
- 2In the dashboard, open Downloads and save the Mac installer.
- 3Open the file and drag TVPN into your Applications folder.
- 4Launch TVPN and sign in with your email and password.
- 5When macOS asks to add VPN configurations, click Allow and confirm with your Mac password or Touch ID.
- 6Pick a server from the list or the menu bar icon and click Connect.
What you get on Mac
The menu bar icon shows your connection status and lets you jump to recent locations. The full window holds the server list, protocol choice (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2), the kill switch and split tunneling.
Plus and Pro add ad and tracker blocking, malicious site blocking and Double VPN. These are filters on the TVPN side, so they work in every browser on the Mac without separate extensions.
Settings we suggest
If you carry a MacBook between home, office and cafes, turn the kill switch on so nothing goes out in the few seconds between networks. WireGuard reconnects quickly after the lid is closed and opened again.
Put AirPlay targets, local file shares or a work app that checks your office IP into split tunneling. Everything else stays in the tunnel.
Common problems
If connecting does nothing, the VPN configuration may not have been approved. Open System Settings, go to Network or VPN, remove the TVPN entry and sign in again so the app can ask once more.
Some security tools and older VPN apps install their own network filters. If pages stop loading only while TVPN is on, check System Settings for other network extensions and turn off the ones you no longer use.
