Short answers to what people ask most. Signed-in users can also message us from the Support tab in the dashboard.
Getting started
What is TVPN?
TVPN is a paid VPN with servers in 62 cities across 44 countries. It encrypts the traffic between your device and our server, so your network provider sees only that you are connected to TVPN. Every plan includes WireGuard, OpenVPN and IKEv2, a kill switch, split tunneling and no data caps. TVPN also sells residential, static ISP and datacenter proxies, bought separately from the same balance.
Open this answerHow do I sign up?
Open the sign-up page, enter an email address and a password, and your account is ready. There is no confirmation step, so you can log in to the dashboard right away.
Open this answerWhat information do I need to give?
Only an email address and a password. We do not ask for your name, phone number or home address. Payments are made with crypto, so no card details are needed either.
Open this answerWill you send me emails?
No. TVPN does not send verification emails, newsletters or promotional mail. Your email is used as your login name, and anything you need to know is shown in the dashboard.
Open this answerCan I create more than one account?
Up to 3 accounts can be created from one network (IP address). This limit keeps automated sign-ups in check. If several people share a home or office connection and need more accounts, contact us from the dashboard.
Open this answerWhat are the steps after signing up?
Top up your balance with crypto, then buy a plan with that balance. The download section in the dashboard opens once the plan is active. Install the app and log in with the same email and password.
Open this answerIs it legal to use a VPN?
In most countries, yes. Some countries restrict or ban VPN use, so check the local rules before you connect there. Using a VPN does not make illegal activity legal, and our acceptable use policy forbids it.

What is the difference between Basic, Plus and Pro?
All three use the same servers and protocols. Basic covers 6 devices. Plus covers 10 devices and adds ad and tracker blocking, malicious site blocking and Double VPN, which routes your traffic through two servers. Pro covers 12 devices and adds one dedicated IP and priority support on top of Plus.
Open this answerWhich billing periods are there?
Each plan comes as 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 months, and you pay for the whole period at once. Longer periods cost less per month. Basic for 24 months is $66.99, which works out to about $2.79 a month.
Open this answerWill my plan renew automatically?
No. TVPN never charges you on its own. When the period ends, the VPN stops working until you buy another plan from your balance.
Open this answerHow do I top up my balance?
Choose an amount in the dashboard and pay with USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL or LTC on the PayGate checkout page. The minimum top-up is $5 and the maximum is $5,000 per payment. Your balance is kept in US dollars and does not expire.
Open this answerCan I pay by card or PayPal?
Not at the moment. Crypto top-ups are the only payment method. If you do not hold crypto, you can buy USDT or another listed coin on an exchange first and send it from there.
Open this answerWhat happens if I buy a plan while one is still active?
The new period is added to the end of your current one, so no days are lost. For example, if 10 days are left and you buy 1 month, your plan runs for 10 days plus 1 month.
Open this answerCan I get a refund?
If you request it within 7 days of buying your first plan, we return the full amount to your TVPN balance. This is available once per account. After 7 days, or for later purchases, plans are not refunded, and balance is not sent back as coins.
Open this answerCan I switch from Basic to Plus or Pro?
Yes. Buy the plan you want from the Plans tab. If you still have time left, the new plan starts when the current one ends, so nothing you paid for is lost. If you want to switch right away, write to us from the Support tab and we will look at your case.
Open this answerHow long does a top-up take to show up?
Usually a few minutes after the payment is confirmed on the network. Busy networks can take longer. Send the exact coin and network shown in the payment window, otherwise the payment may not be matched to your account.
Open this answerApps and devices
Why can't I see the download links?
The apps are for paying customers only. The download section in your dashboard opens as soon as you buy a plan. If you have just paid and it is still locked, refresh the dashboard page.
Open this answerWhich systems are supported?
There are apps for Windows 10 and 11, macOS 12 or later, iOS 15 or later, Android 8 or later, Android TV, and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian and Fedora). Routers are set up with WireGuard configuration files.
Open this answerHow many devices can I use at once?
Basic allows 6 devices at the same time, Plus allows 10 and Pro allows 12. You can install the app on as many devices as you like. The limit only counts devices that are connected at that moment.
Open this answerWhat happens if I go over the device limit?
The next device will not connect until one of the others disconnects. Turn the VPN off on a device you are not using, or move to a plan with more devices.
Open this answerCan I use TVPN on my router?
Yes. Download a WireGuard configuration file from the dashboard and import it on a router that supports WireGuard, such as OpenWrt, ASUS or GL.iNet models. Every device on that router then goes through the VPN, and the router counts as one connection.
Open this answerWhich protocol should I pick?
WireGuard is the default and is usually the fastest. Try OpenVPN TCP on networks that block other VPN traffic, such as some hotels or offices. IKEv2 is a good choice on phones that switch often between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Does TVPN keep logs?
We do not record the sites you visit, the content of your traffic, your DNS queries, the IP address you connect from or the times you connect. Our servers are set up so this data is not written anywhere.
Open this answerSo what does TVPN store?
Your email address, a hash of your password (not the password itself), your payment records and your plan period. That is what we need to run your account and nothing more.
Open this answerHow do you count devices without logs?
While a device is connected, the server keeps a simple marker that says one of your slots is in use. It holds no IP address or activity, and it is deleted the moment the device disconnects.
Open this answerWhat does the kill switch do?
If the VPN connection drops, the kill switch blocks internet traffic until it reconnects. This stops your real IP address from showing for those few seconds. You can turn it on in the app settings, and we suggest keeping it on.
Open this answerHow do you prevent DNS leaks?
When you are connected, the app sends DNS requests to TVPN's own DNS servers through the encrypted tunnel. Your network provider's DNS servers are not used, so they cannot see which sites you look up.
Open this answerWhat encryption does TVPN use?
OpenVPN and IKEv2 use AES-256-GCM. WireGuard uses ChaCha20. Both are current, widely reviewed standards.

The app won't connect. What should I check?
First make sure your plan is still active in the dashboard. Then try another server, or switch from WireGuard to OpenVPN TCP, which gets through most restrictive networks. If it still fails, restart the app and your device.
Open this answerMy connection is slow. How can I speed it up?
Pick a server in a country close to you, since distance adds delay. WireGuard is usually faster than OpenVPN. If you are on Plus or Pro, check that Double VPN is off when you do not need it, because two hops take longer.
Open this answerA website blocks me when the VPN is on.
Some sites limit traffic from VPN servers. Try a different server in the same country, or open the site in a browser that you excluded with split tunneling. Pro users can also use their dedicated IP, which is not shared with other users.
Open this answerI forgot my password.
Because TVPN does not send emails, there is no password reset link, and we cannot recover an account by email. Please keep your password in a password manager when you sign up. If you lose it, you will need to create a new account.
Open this answerI sent crypto but my balance did not go up.
Payments are credited after the network confirms them, which can take a while for some coins. If it has not arrived after an hour, contact us from the dashboard with the transaction ID and we will check it.
Open this answerThe app says I have reached my device limit.
Another device on your account is still connected. Disconnect the VPN on a device you are not using and try again. A device that lost power or signal may take a few minutes to be released.
Open this answerHow do I contact TVPN?
Log in to the dashboard and open the Support tab. Include your device, app version and what you were doing when the problem started. Pro users get priority replies.
Open this answerHow much slower is the internet with a VPN?
Some slowdown is normal, because traffic is encrypted and travels to the server first. The closer the server, the smaller the drop. WireGuard is usually the fastest protocol, and split tunneling lets apps that don't need the VPN skip it.
Open this answerProxies
Are proxies included in my VPN plan?
No. Proxies and VPN plans are separate products. A VPN plan does not include proxies, and buying a proxy does not include a VPN plan. Both use the same account and the same balance.
Open this answerHow do I buy a proxy?
Top up your balance with crypto (minimum $5), open the Proxies tab in the dashboard, choose the type and amount, and pay from the balance. There are four types: residential, unlimited residential, static ISP and datacenter.
Open this answerMy order says activating. What does that mean?
The proxy is being set up. Once it is active, connect with the access details in the Proxies tab. If an order cannot be activated, the full amount goes back to your balance.
Open this answerHow do I connect to a proxy?
Use gate.tvpn.blog with port 6100 for HTTP and HTTPS or port 6200 for SOCKS5. Sign in with the username and password from the Proxies tab, or add up to 10 IPv4 addresses to the allowlist to connect from them without a password.
Open this answerDo proxies renew automatically?
No. Unlimited, static ISP and datacenter proxies stop when their period ends, and you can buy a new period from your balance. Residential traffic bought per GB has no expiry date.
Open this answerCan I withdraw my balance?
No. The balance cannot be sent back to a wallet. It can be used for any proxy order or VPN plan on your account.
Open this answerStill stuck?
Log in and open the Support tab in your dashboard, even before you buy a plan. We reply there.
