Shared IP and dedicated IP
Shared IPs are good for privacy, because your activity mixes with that of other users. The downside is that some sites see many logins from one address and respond with extra checks or blocks.
A dedicated IP belongs to your account alone. Sites see a consistent address with normal activity, which usually means fewer verification prompts.
Where it helps
Many company systems, servers and admin panels only accept connections from approved IP addresses. With a dedicated IP, you can add one fixed address to that list and reach it from anywhere.
It also helps with services that lock or question an account when the login IP keeps changing. Online banking and work tools are common examples.
Countries you can choose
Pro includes one dedicated IP. You pick its country from the ten below.
Pick the country where the service you use expects you to be. For access to a company system, that is usually the country of the office or the server.
- United States
- Canada
- United Kingdom
- Germany
- France
- Netherlands
- Japan
- South Korea
- Singapore
- Australia
Getting and using your IP
When you buy Pro, choose the country in the Plans tab of your dashboard. Once it is ready, the dedicated IP appears in the app's server list.
When you want to use it, connect to that entry. When you do not need a fixed address, you can still connect to any shared server like on other plans.
- In the Plans tab of your dashboard, choose Pro
- Pick the dedicated IP country and pay
- In the app, go to the server list > Dedicated IP and connect
