Why prices can differ
Airlines, hotel booking sites and online shops may set prices by market, currency or local promotions. The same flight or room can appear at a different price depending on the country the site thinks you are in.
This is not always the case, and a lower price in one region is not guaranteed. Taxes, fees and exchange rates can also change the final amount.
How to compare
Open the site and note the price. Then connect to a TVPN server in another country, open the page again in a private window, and compare the total at checkout.
Sites also use cookies and your account settings to decide what to show. A private window, or signing out, gives a cleaner comparison.
- Check the price without the VPN or on your usual server
- Connect to a server in another country
- Open the same page in a private window and compare the final total, including fees
Before you pay
Your card or payment method may only work in certain countries, and some sites require a billing address that matches the region. Your bank may also flag a payment made from a foreign IP.
Read the site's terms. Some services do not allow buying from a region other than your own, and refunds or support may follow the rules of the region where you bought.
Shopping safely on public Wi-Fi
If you shop on a cafe or airport network, connect to TVPN first. Your login and payment pages then travel through the encrypted tunnel.
On Plus and Pro, malicious site blocking stops known phishing pages, including fake shops and fake delivery notices sent by text.
